It is my pleasure to invite you to the 37th FEM Congress to be held on 13-14 September 2018 in Antwerp (Belgium). The event is organised by our Belgian National Committee, AGORIA.
When I became President two years ago, I explained I intended to look into the future at challenges ahead of us. This is exactly what we have done throughout our activities in general and one in particular. A few months ago, FEM launched "͞The Smart Logistics Challenge". Around the motto "How to Deliver, Tomorrow", we asked students from all over Europe to work on 3 themes (e-commerce, co-botics and sharing economy) and to re-think how our companies can best make use of Logistics 4.0 to meet the emerging demands of the future.
After a few months putting together and refining their concepts, the winners of the Smart Logistics Challenge will present their ideas and confront them with experts and the leaders of our industry during a dedicated conference. This promises very exciting exchanges with those who will make our industry tomorrow.
In addition, our Congress will have an international focus as it will host the annual meeting of the Alliance of Industrial Trucks Organisations. We will be able to hear about developments in China, Japan, Korea and the US. This will certainly enrich the content of our Congress.
As usual, the FEM Product Groups will hold their meetings and the FEM Secretariat will give a short report on the latest and upcoming developments on the political and regulatory fronts in Brussels.
Finally, our Belgian hosts have planned two dinners in very special venues in the stunning city of Antwerp.
The 2018 FEM Congress is set to be a memorable one... Don’t miss it!
I look forward to seeing you there.
